One great way to earn more money in your business is to improve your sales letter. You sales letter is your salesman that works for you 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. A great letter makes all the difference between mediocre results, and results that can earn you a fortune.
If you're stuck on ideas on how to write a great sales letter, the best thing that you can do for yourself is create something that's called a "swipe file". A swipe file is simply a collection of winning ads and sales letters that have been proven to work time and time again. You can emulate the headlines and even the body copy to give yourself an idea of what your copy should look like.
Proper market research is necessary if you want your letter to convey the features and benefits of your offer. The best place to figure out what the needs and wants of your market is the internet. You can go online and search on popular forums to see what wants and needs are being unmet. Your letters job is to arouse the reader by getting him to analyze his pains and problems, and to position your product as the obvious solution to the problem.
Your sales letter should let your prospect know what it is that you do and why you're the perfect solution to their problem. All your prospects want to know is "what's in it for them", so you have to tell them so that they can see the benefits that your offer has for them.
You should also mention why a prospect should believe you. You have to come across as a credible figure in the marketplace. Your sales letter has to show you as an authority in the marketplace, and should show a user why you're the obvious answer to their problem. If your letter can't do this, then you're just spinning wheels.
Your sales letter should also be easy to read. Try using fonts such as Tahoma and Verdana to write your letter in. You should use font size 12 or 14, as these are good sizes to have them in. If a user wants to scan, they should be able to do so while still getting the message that your letter is trying to say.
You should also employ the use of bullet points in your sales letter. Bullet points tell your reader what it is that they're getting from your product. Alot of bullet points are a good thing so the more the better. Your bullet points should be mini headlines that give the features and benefits of your product.
